# Rekha's Marriage

In the ongoing series of posting interesting and nostalgic articles from old filmy magazines here is presented a article which appeared in Filmfare magazine of 1990 on Rekha marriage with Mukesh Agarwal,owner of Hotline Appliances.This tongue teaser,hyped and surprise marriage ended tragically with the suicide of Mukesh in mysterious circumstances,which only added mysterious flavor to Rekha's personality.






















 After many affairs and a broken secret marriage with Vinod Mehra,Rekha decided to tie a nuptial knot with this Delhite businessman.Read yourself what had happened.

Thanks Zaheer Bhai for these vintage Film fare pages.Really it is one of the most mysterious case ever happened in the history of bollywood. But never mind i still love Evergreen Rekha.
One thing i am really missing here and that is any 'Madhu Muskan Comics'. Please Zaheer bhai post one or two Madhu Muskan comics.Pleazzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzz.

I'll be more thankful to you if you can please provide information about Roshan music director. Who is best known for his great music for movies like tajmahal, mamta, dil hi to hai, chitralekha and barsat ki raat which songs are selected for Binica geetmala in 60's and many more....

Arvind,Vandna: Welcome to this blog,comments from old Indian film music lovers like you is a pleasant surprise and encouraging factor for me as such appreciation will certainly boost me to choose more such topic as blog post more frequently.
Before your comment i was somewhat in doubt that whether this post has disappointed the blog readers but now i am pretty confidant that my efforts have not gone wasted.

Here is some details about Roshan:-

Roshan Lal Nagrath born on (July 14, 1917) in Gujranwala, Punjab (now in Pakistan)- died on (November 16, 1967 in Bombay, Maharashtra, India). Better known simply by his first name Roshan, was a famous Bollywood film music composer. He is the father of the actor and film director Rakesh Roshan and music director Rajesh Roshan, and grandfather of superstar film actor Hrithik Roshan.

Roshan was born in Gujranwala, Punjab (now in Pakistan). He began music lessons at a young age, and later attended Morris College of Music in Lucknow. In the early 1940s, Roshan joined All India Radio and worked for them as a composer.

In 1948, Roshan came to Mumbai to find work as a Bollywood music director. He struggled until meeting Kidar Sharma, who gave him the job of composing for his film Neki aur Badi (1949). While this film was a flop, Roshan emerged as a player on the Bollywood music scene with the film Baawre Nain, released the following year.

In the early 1950s, Roshan worked extensively with singers Mukesh and Talat Mahmood. Malhar, Shisham, and Anhonee were some of the movies that he scored during the '50s. He was not very successful commercially-speaking, yet garnered enormous respect from his colleagues. He also gave Indeewar and Anand Bakshi their first breaks in the industry as lyricists; these two would later become two of the most sought-after songwriters in Mumbai in the late 1960s.

The 1960s proved to be the golden age for Roshan and his music. His remarkable ability to meld folk music with Indian classical music became his trademark and resulted in many a successful score. During this time Roshan gave the Hindi movie industry some unforgettable hits, such as Na To Karavan Ki Talaash Hai and Yeh Ishq Ishq Hai (Barsaat Ki Raat), Ab Kya Misaal Doon (Aarti, 1962), Jo Vada Kiya Vo Nibhana Padega and Paao Chhoon Lene Do (Taj Mahal, 1963) etc...

Roshan had been suffering from chronic heart trouble for over 20 years. He died of a heart attack on November 16, 1967 in Bombay, Maharashtra, India), leaving behind a wife and two sons.

रवि रतलामी: जी हाँ रवि भाई,मुकेश अग्रवाल ने रेखा के दुपट्टे से फाँसी लगा कर आत्महत्या कर ली थी और सहज रूप से अनुमान लगाने पर इस बात की बहुत गुंजाईश निकलती है की मुकेश ने रेखा की हरकतों से तंग आकर ही अपनी इहलीला समाप्त की होगी क्योंकि रेखा जैसी रहस्मय और कुख्यात अभिनेत्री एक सामान्य नारी के रूप सामान्य तौर से गृहस्थ जीवन में रम पाए इसकी सम्भावना न के बराबर ही बनती है और मुकेश चूँकि विवाह जैसी संस्था को लेकर अतिसंवेदनशील व्यक्ति रहे होंगे इसलिए उनसे रेखा की उन्मुक्त जीवन शैली बर्दाश्त नहीं हुई होगी.

Because we are doing research on Roshan Saheb so each and every point of his life is important to us. Specially from his childhood his family, parents, brother, sisters and his struggle in bollywood and relations with other artist.
